Lenten affirmation, day 26

today I was overcome by a familiar feeling. It was the feeling of failure. I felt today like I was failing at everything; failings at work, failing as a friend, as a father… Just failing. Today’s affirmation is simple, but one I will need to repeat again and again: I am not a failure. I have failed from time to time, but I am not a failure.

Today, I am grateful for the sunshine, for fast food, fora day when everyone was wearing my favorite color. I am grateful for modern medicine. I am grateful for kids that want to be around what the adults are doing. I’m thankful for walks with the dog. I’m thankful for hot showers. I’m thankful to get a another chance tomorrow.
